Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The seeds of Moringa pterigosperma on extraction with petroleum ether yielded a fatty oil (31.5%) which was found to contain the glycerides of palmitic (9.3%), stearic (7.4%), behenic (8.6%) and oleic (65.7%) acids. The unsaponifiable matter from alcohol was obtained in a crystalline condition (m.p. I34 degrees) which gave all the colour reactions of phytosterols.
