Comparative Study of Fatty Acids in Portulaca oleracea L. and Its Seeds

Abstract Fatty acids in Portulaca oleracea L. and its seeds were analysed by capillary GC-MS. Eight fatty acids were found, main constituents in the whole weed were linolenic acid (47.16%), linoleic acid (22.00%) and plamilic acid (17.46%), and in the seeds were linoleic acid (45.86%) and linolenic acid (30.61%).
