Nelumbium speciosum (Nelumbo nucifera) seeds contained 2.11% oil. Examn. by gas-liq chromatog., urea adductation and UV absorption revealed the presence of myristic 0.04, palmitic 17.32, oleic 21.91, linoleic 54.17, and linolenic acid 6.19%.
