The petroleum ether extractive of Hedychium spicatum rhizomes contains tritriacontane, ceryl palmitate, hedychenone and following fatty acids: Myristic acid (6.95), Palmitic acid (25.35), Stearic acid (10.90), Oleic acid (19.64), Linoleic acid (17.41), Linolenic acid (7.43) and an unidentified acid (12.32%)
