Examination of Component Acids of Delonix regia Seed Oil by Reversed Phase

Abstract

By the application of reversed phase partition column chromatography, the seed oil of Deloniz regio (Poinciana regia) is found to contain the following acids ( wt %),: Lauric 0.3, Myristic 0.6, Palmitic 10.7, Stearic 12.3, Arachidic 0.8, Behenic 1.1, Headecenoic 2.9, Oleic 13.2, and Linoleic 58.1.
