Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants.
more details ...
The seed oils of the following plants were examd.: Brunfelsia americana; Physalis minima; Zyzyphus rugosa; Ailanthes excelsa; Sapindus mukorossi; Parkia biglandulosa; Lafoensia vandelliana. None of the plants contained any unusual or novel acids. The seed oils of B. americana, P. minima, L. vandelliana, and P. biglandulosa were rich in linoleic acid, while seed oils of A. excelsa and S. mukorossi were rich in oleic acid. Z. rugosa seed oil contained more of satd. than unsatd. Acids.
