Component Acids of Trigonella foenum-graeceum (Fenugreek) Seed Oil

Abstract Trigonella foenum-graeceum seed oil was analysed by reversed phase partition column chromatography for the component acids with the following results ( Wt. % ) : Lauric 0.4, Myristic 2.4, Palmitic 11.1, Stearic 5.5, Arachidic 1.1, Behenic 2.5, Hexadecenoic 1.2, Oleic 15.4, Linoleic 59.1, and Linolenic 1.3.
