Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants. more details ...
Abstract The seed oil of Acacia suma (Leguminosae) was found to have a HBr-reactive fatty acid along with other usual fatty acids. On the basis of chemical, spectroscopic and chromatographic techniques the HBr-reactive acid was identified as cis-9, 10-epoxy-cis-12-octadecenoic (coronaric) acid. This acid makes up 10.6% of the total oil triglycerides.
