Exploring Phylogenetic Relationships between Hundreds of Plant Fatty Acids Synthesized by Thousands of Plants.
more details ...
Seed oils from six species belonging to Myrtaceae family, procured from Northern India, were studied for their fatty acid composition. Eucalyptus drepcenophylla was found to be a good source of saturated acids (60. 19%). Eucalyptus torelliana and Eucalyptus citridora seed oils were found to be rich in oleic acid (87.24% and 48.35%, respectively.) Eucalyptus stalgereana, Eucalyptus paniculata and Callistemon viminalis seed oils were rich in linoleic acid (54.92%, 62.40%, and 78.15% respectively).
